Being a wedding photographer is great, because I absolutely love weddings! Wedding photography is my absolute favourite type of photography to be booked for! My main goal as your wedding photographer is to capture the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, just as it would if I was not there.
My style is very natural, creative and relaxed. I love to have natural light to work with, and pretty countryside settings where possible. No matter where your chosen location is, we can work together to get some pretty and memorable pictures that you will treasure for a lifetime.
Your wedding photographer provides you with a priceless and unrepeatable record of your day, and is one of the only parts of your wedding budget that will last a lifetime. For this reason it’s really important that you choose a wedding photographer who has a style of photography that you love, and who you can trust to tell the story of your day, in a way that you want it to be shown.
On your wedding day, I will be with you for 10 hours, which will give me plenty of time to discreetly capture the events of your day as they naturally unfold. I use the word ‘discreetly’ as the last thing that I would ever want to do on your wedding day is get in the way, or ruin a special moment by obviously snapping away and making people feel self conscious.
Ideally I would be with you from the time you share with your ‘nearest and dearest’ in the morning, right the way through to the intimacy of your first dance as a married couple. I think being able to capture these key parts of the day really helps to tell your story. Whilst the bride is getting ready is also my favourite time to go about getting some pretty and creative pictures of the dress, shoes, rings, flowers and any other pretty things! It’s a great opportunity to get pictures of the bridal party getting ready and can result in some really stunning, timeless pictures. I always see the morning prep as a behind the scenes, access all areas type thing! It can be lovely to use some of these images at the beginning of your wedding album.
Natural images for me will always be the most beautiful, which is why you’ll only see me giving direction during your group and couples shots. The group shots will always be the part of your day that I find most challenging. Herding your guests will be like herding cats, they disappear when it’s their turn to be in the picture, hide behind each other, refuse to look at the camera, and blink like it’s going out of fashion, amongst many other things.. (seriously it’s the same at every wedding!), so I usually like to steal the best man to help me. I get the best man to do the shouting for me, and then get away with looking like I’m in no way a bossy wedding photographer. It works a treat!
For a full wedding day booking you can usually expect to receive around 600 images, though this can vary from wedding to wedding. I will always try to edit the images and get them back to you as quickly as possible. I provide the edited digital files on USB in a pretty presentation box with 10 high quality prints. The digitals will be edited in a mixture of styles, though mainly colour and black and white.
For full day weddings, coverage is provided for 10 hours, though you are welcome to extend the hours if you wish. A full days coverage is £1100, which gives you £100 complementary print credit. This can be used to put towards any albums or artwork purchases you would like to make, within 4 weeks of receiving your USB back. All the images from the wedding are provided on USB in a beautiful presentation box, along with 10 of my favourite prints from your day. You can usually expect to receive around 600 edited images on the USB, though this can vary slightly from wedding to wedding. A £200 deposit will be required when booking to secure your date, and the remaining balance paid before the wedding, or at the latest on your wedding day.
If you are having a small wedding and only need coverage for a limited amount of hours, please get in touch for a quote.
What Happens Next?
Please use the Contact Chloe page to get in touch and check my availability. Fingers crossed I’ll be free for your date and we go from there! If we’re meeting I’ll bring some albums and artwork along for you to look through, and you can tell me about your wedding. For weddings further afield, a Skype call can sometimes be more convenient than a long travel for both parties to meet.
I’m a Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire based wedding photographer but can travel throughout the UK. Travel expenses for within a two hour radius from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire are covered in the price.
