George and Victoria’s Cheltenham Chase Hotel wedding was a great day, filled with smiles and laughter.
On the morning of the wedding I met Victoria at her mother’s house in Cheltenham, where she was getting ready. I photographed Victoria getting ready, and capturing her mother fastening the back of her wedding dress was a particularly special moment.
Victoria had chosen some really funk funky wedding shoes by Irregular Choice, which were great to photograph in a period fireplace I found in one of the bedrooms.
On the way to her Cheltenham Chase Hotel wedding, Victoria had scheduled us to have a little stop off on the way. We went to visit Victoria’s grandmother at a nursing home on the day, so that she was able to see Victoria looking stunning in her wedding dress. It was wonderful to be able to capture such a special moment, and I know that Victoria really treasures the pictures from this part of her wedding day.
When I arrived at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel, I made my way to the front of the room where he service would take place. George was stood, looking rather nervous as he awaited Victoria’s arrival.
Victoria looked stunning as she entered the room and everyone turned to admire her.
The wedding service was lovely and George looked like a very happy man!
The weather hadn’t been great, so we had to do many of the group shots inside the hotel. We had a moment with George and Victoria posing for a photograph in the lift, where the doors pinged shut and the elevator tried to take them away! Everyone was in fits of giggles and it resulted in one of the couples favourite pictures from the day.
Later on the weather cleared and the children had lots of fun and games in the garden. There were lots of games of tag and it was a joy to catch the children making what are sure to be, some amazing childhood memories.
It was a real privilege to be involved in this couples wedding and I wish them all the luck in the world for their future.
