An engagement shoot took place for Sarah & Jules earlier on this year in a pretty Worcestershire village, not far from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
The couple were very excited to be doing the shoot, after previously putting in a winning bid several months earlier in a charity silent auction. I already knew the couple, so it was great fun to be involved in their engagement shoot!
We met at our chosen location on a sunny Saturday, and after a quick outfit change for Sarah, we headed off to explore some nice places for pictures.
The couple loved the location, and there were lots of opportunities for different backgrounds for us to try.
Sarah and Jules were really fun and creative to work with. After the first few images, we all got into the stride of working together, and came up with some really great ideas to work with. Sarah brought along an ‘&’ sign to the engagement shoot, knowing she would like to use it in images for their wedding website and invitations. She has since created their wedding website and it looks really great!
We spent most of the shoot in a quaint Cotswold garden, filled with beautiful flowers and fruit trees, and then ventured off to a nearby lake and some pretty fields.
An overgrown field made such a wonderful backdrop for some of my favourite pictures from this engagement shoot. Something so simple can create really dramatic and elegant looking images, that I know the couple will cherish for the years to come.
The couple will be getting married in France next year (lucky them!!), and after the shoot I discovered that they are expecting a baby! It was too early to tell during the shoot, but finding out this happy news somehow makes this engagement shoot even more special!
