Luke and Lauren were married in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in August 2016.
The couple booked me for a few hours on their wedding day, so I was to meet the groom at the Cheltenham venue rather than capture the bridal prep. It was quite an usual experience for me as I had not met the couple previously and met the groom before the bride!
Upon arrival in Cheltenham, I met some of the couples wedding guests in the carpark, who gave me instruction on where I would be able to find the groom.
Luke was very calm on the morning of the wedding, enjoying a pint with his best man and all the wedding guests before the wedding service took place.
I was able to discreetly take some pictures of Luke and the couples guests before Lauren arrived.
Before Lauren’s entrance the guests took their seats, and Luke and his best man too their positions at the front of the room where they would be wed. The room was beautifully bright with a very regal looking red carpet going right the way down the aisle.
You could feel the mood in the room shift instantly as Luke and Lauren’s chosen wedding song began to play.
The bridesmaids and flower girls then appeared at the bottom of the room, followed by Lauren in her beautiful wedding dress. Lauren was given away by her mother, who was completely caught up in the emotion of the day. It was a special moment.
As Lauren arrived at the front of the room to meet Luke, you cold see the pride and joy in his face.
The wedding service itself was filled with laughter and smiles, and you could see on the faces of Luke and Lauren how happy and in love they were.
After the service we headed out onto a green, where we did some lovely couples shots. When we were happy that we had all the images that the bride and groom would want, we set about herding the wedding guests to get all the group shots done too.
I was only with the couple for two hours, which really flew past, but I managed captured everything that the couple were looking for in that time.
It was great to meet Luke and Lauren, they are such a lovely couple!
